not it!
i was dissapointed to feel just as tired as usual when i got off work this evening. i was really hoping that eating well and drinking lots of water all day would be the answer. it wasn't. i was really looking forward to a trail run, but i just didn't have the energy. so when i got home and my sister suggested the pool, i thought why not?
i laid around for while, reading a magazine, dozing a little bit here and there. then mere decided she wanted to play pool games. with the 8-12 year olds in the pool. she dove in and once again i thought, why not? so i did, too. we played colors and marco polo until i couldn't take it anymore and had to come home for dinner. it was seriously like being a kid again, awww, mom do i hafta? except i'm the mom. weird. i didn't go running but i played in the pool for a good hour. not bad.
does anyone remember inky pinky ponky? bubble gum bubble gum in a dish? engine engine number 9?
i had so much fun.
anyway, i did really well eating today and i never felt hungry. i still craved junk food and unfortunately fell prey to a few of my sisters french fries sitting on the counter. but i only had a few.
so, more about the rainbow diet i have come up with. it's simple really. eat all the colors of the rainbow, with only a few browns and whites thrown in. shopping by color was really fun. i will post later this week on how much i spent for a work weeks worth of groceries. even if you are on a budget, you can afford fresh fruit and veggies. you'll notice meat is absent. i don't really like it all that much and i always feel bloated after i eat it so i'm saving it for special occasions.
breakfast: 1 c. kashi heart to heart cereal (really good!), 1/2 c. blueberries, 1 c. ff milk = a brown, a blue and a white.
